This Sunday

Unless you’ve been trapped under a very large, noise-resistant rock that blocks out Wi-Fi, you know that Peter Capaldi has been cast as the Twelfth Doctor. I know he’s an award winner and everything, but the first time I saw him was as Frobisher in Torchwood series 3. I remember thinking, “Whoa, who is this actor? He’s totally stolen the show!” His character is weak, emotional, conflicted, and you can see him being quietly torn apart scene to scene. I’ve remembered his name since. But long before we’ll see him as the Doctor, BBC America will air (this Sunday the 11th) the entire series 3 of Torchwood so you can experience it again (or for the first time if you haven’t already (and if you haven’t already–Good lord! With the tie for first place with Ashes to Ashes series 3 finale, Torchwood series 3 is the best bit of tele I’ve ever seen! Set your DVRs for this Sunday, for pete’s sake!))
