Anglo-Emmys

You’ve probably seen that the Emmys have announced their nominations for the 67th Emmys Award Ceremony, which airs Sept. 20th in the States. You also may have noticed the number of British performers, writers, directors, and shows on the nominee list. For the Brits to rule the Emmys this year, here’s what needs to happen:

Outstanding drama series

Game of Thrones is preferred because it’s most nerdy.
Downton Abbey is also acceptable.
House of Cards is accepted only because it’s based on a British show by the same name.

Outstanding comedy series

Veep is an American show with British writers and directors.

Outstanding lead actress in a drama series

Tatina-Maslany-Star-Wars

Tatiana Maslany is a Canadian actress who stars in BBC America’s Orphan Black.

Outstanding lead actor in a comedy series

Matt LeBlanc is an American actor in Episodes, a show about American remakes of British TV shows

Outstanding lead actress in a comedy series

Julia Louis-Dreyfus is an American actress in the previously mentioned British-driven Veep.
