Death at a Funeral

Matthew Macfadyen and Keeley Hawes make an excellent team as Daniel and his wife Jane, trying to soberly cope with the death of Daniel’s father while his brother Justin (Ewen Bremner) is trying to shag people like it’s a party, somebody’s spiked Simon’s (Alan Tudyk’s) Valium with hallucinogenics, and uninvited guest Peter (Peter Dinklage) reveals himself to be the secret lover of the deceased. All the working parts fit together for one epic shambles.

Other notable stars include Jane Asher, Kris Marshall, and Rupert Graves. You won’t stop laughing at the inappropriateness of this wonderful British-starred film. A definite recommend. Not to be confused with the Neil LaBute American remake in 2010 starring Chris Rock.
